03 f150 intermittent wipers not working. I have cleaned the contacts in the switch with no luck. The only way to get the wipers to work is to run full speed. After digging alittle deeper, the relay is switching as it should and I even swapped it. Could it be the motor? I can't see how unless it is switching the windings or something and where does it do this?
I doubt it will be the motor, if it fails it will not work. I think it will be in the controls, GEM or intermediate speed controls. I don't know how to diagnois it, but try probing the wires in the motor as you switch speed.
Thank You! I think everything is ok all the way to the relay as it is switching as it should. After digging even more it looks like it may be the "wiper motor pulse board module". My question now is, is this part of the motor (internal) or is it mounted somewhere else?
Once I got a schematic I saw there was another relay in the circuit. R 202 was switching as it should which is the wiper run/park relay. It turns out R 209 is the high/low relay and is tied into the intermittant circuit. Once I swapped it everything was ok.
