Bilstein shocks

My 2001 F-250 4x4 just hit 102,000 miles on the stock oem shocks. Thinking about some bilstein shocks but I'm not sure witch ones to put on? The yellow with the blue boots or the sliver with black boots? I found the yellow ones on E-bay for $220 + $20 shipping is that good deal? Also does the shock boot mount up or down? Thanks for any input.

If your truck is stock not lifted then I think you have no other choice but to get the yellow and blue, the silver ones are for lifted applications. Yes you can mount the Bilstiens either way.

what would be the advantage of mounting them "upside down"?
wouldn't that add unsprung weight?

thanks

Yes, but you'd when you're dealing with massive tires, heavy axle housings and heavy duty differentials, what's an extra pound per side going to do? It won't even add up to 1% of your total unsprung weight.
