2001 Ford Expedition /Starting issues
Hey guess what? It is still at dealership. I did not see the crank shaft sensor reply will call them and see if they have checked that. Spent more time now throwing temper tantrums with myself than I did when I was young. It has now totally baffled everyone involved.

This should be the last post on this issue. Ford dealership came to the conclusion that it had to be the fuel pump. Now after a few months of my time and money this is what they finally come up with? This could have been it all along. I did in real nice words let them know this. I also reminded them of money spent.
So for a very very good price it is done.
Seems to be running fine so far.

Maybe, just maybe
We've had a rash of bad gas here in Redneckville, AL. Mostly at the Walmart filling stations. I'm sure you've considered this but I just thought I'd bring it up. I've seen issues before when it would magically start and it turned out to be a filling station with moisture issues in their tank.

Did you ever solve this problem? I'm having the EXACT problem with my 2001 Ford Expedition. It will drive fine some days and then not start whenever it feels like. It runs great once started. I took it to the mechanic and he could not find anything.
