Blackstone Labs
Hey guys, Just want to pass on an experience with Blackstone Labs. I requested their oil sample kit back in December...Never arrived. I then sent an e-mail to request it once again...E-mail never answered nor has the kit arrived. Jan 2 requested kit a third time and still no kit. I then sent another e-mail request last week and still no response. I think that Blackstone has poor customer service. Has anyone had this experience with Blackstone? Blackstone should have at least answered the e-mail or at least made contact in my opinion. Maybe its time for a phone call.

I sent them a sample about a year ago, got the results back in about a week, requested more kits on the form, and got them fairly soon afterwards. no problems here. Maybe they shut down for a week or so for the holidays?

I requested a oil sample kit in dec. also and I received the kit in the mail before Christmas.I was suprised I received it that fast,I havent sent in a sample yet because I changed my oil not to long before that and I switched over to synthetic should I wait until its time for another oil change to get a sample it takes me quite awhile to get 5000 miles on my truck?

Yes I would wait til your next oil change. Unless you have a major problem like fuel in the oil, etc, they probobly wouldnt be able to detect any of the trace metals that show excessive engine wear using a sample that hadnt been in the engine very long.

I can have Black stone send me the sample kit and then just fwd it to you. mine was lickity split with now problems. and will use them again down the road.

I have nothing but great service out of Blackstone, sent the email request received the kit 3 days later. Sent in a sample received an email copy of the results 3 days later and the hard copy 2 days after that and the new kits the next day.

i asked for a kit in nov..got it end of nov.sent in the sample and got my resolts in e-mail right after x-mass..i just got my copy of the test in the mail..i e-mailed them for another new sample kit last week and one for the trans...they e-mailed me back telling me its on the way..

Maybe that'll happen with me...... I've attempted three times, the last being around Nov 15th and have yet to receive anything. Maybe I'll make the call to expedite delivery of all three!
