I believe they've had some sort of web problems too. My previous UOA never did come through on email, and I even called them about it. They tried to send it three times before just sending a hard copy. The last one came through just fine though. That's the only difficulty I've every had with Blackstone.
I request additional sample bottles every other test so I have a couple on hand in the event a friend needs one asap otherwise they've been great over the past few years for us.
Results come in the mail and email within a week after receiving the sample.
I used both systems, the request form and the e-mail to no avail. Just a bit disappointed...Seems others have had the same issues and then others great responses. Thanks for all your inputs just wanted some feedback for myself.
Sorry some of you have had trouble getting a kit from us. Believe me, we want you get a kit! There are lots of things that can go wrong. Sometimes the form doesn't work and you have to call us to get a kit. Sometimes the request isn't complete, like you forget to put a street address in it, and we don't have an email to contact you to get the right address. Sometimes we do get it, we send it, and the post office mangles it when it's on its way to you (see the picture on this page--click on the words "(or worse!)": http://www.blackstone-labs.com/thank_you.html)
Anyway, we do try to get kits out as soon as you ask for them. If anyone needs a kit, just give us a call at 260/744-2380 and I'll build it myself, just to make sure it goes out.
I just spoke with Kristin Huff @ Blackstone and the kit is on the way. Nice lady and handled my request promply. For those of you who have not received a kit, give her a call. Thanks again Kristin

I had a similar experience, I think calling was a better way to get the kits in a timely manner. However, they have been great for me ever since. My first sample I FedEx'd to them next day b/c I was waiting for the sample results to buy the truck the very next weekend. They analyzed it the morning it came in and gave me the results asap.
Now I have tons of kits. Last sample I checked the box to "send more kits" on all three slips (oil, diff, trans) and I got about 10 kits in the mail! Rather have too many than none at all..
I ordered my kit shortly after New Years', and received it in about a week. Their web sit esays it could take up to three weeks, which seems a bit long to me until I consider everything that could go wrong in the process.
I hope to be sampling in the next week or two so I can get it off.
The reason you got several kits is, the computer figures how many you might need based on how many samples you've sent in in the past year. People who don't sample as much don't get very many. Anyone asking for a kit the first time jsut gets one (or however many they ask for). There is a rhyme and reason to what we do! Hope this helps explain it.
