spark plug orientation

My tired old brain can't figure this one out. I have a '73 f100 302 c4 2wd and am wondering why the spark plugs on the driver side are angled toward the firewall but the passenger side ones are angled forward. I all ready know there must be a good reason (and when you tell me I'll slap my forehead and go "Duh"). O.K. I'm ready.

The heads are the same, they are just opposed from one another....Put the left head on the right side and it's the same......<< off the motor <> on the motor

Hemieater, you are wise. And I was just about to slap my head when a larger question suddenly fried another synapse. Does this right/left opposition configuration (try saying that three times real fast) hold true for other Ford engines? Or GM? or Mopar? Good Lord...How far does this thing go!?

I don't think there is any difference in heads they should be the same. Why would they make a left head and a right head it would cost twice as much to manufactuer.

Please step away from the computer and go find something to do LOL..................
