Uh-Oh! Does anyone have a plug-in to a cigar lighter or clip on a battery 12vdc - 120vac inverter greater than 250 watts? I forgot to pick one up today and the 150 watt inverter I have just doesn't provide enough jiuce for my laptop!
Clif, like most of my outdoor stuff it is at my parents and I can't find the exact info on the web. I know it has run laptops for a few hours before and I want to say it is rated at 400 watts. I needed a reason to go up there for some other stuff anyway, so I'll let you know in an hour or so for sure. Give me a ring if need be, I should call you before 8 otherwise.
My father said he charged and used it very briefly around a month ago, so it should have most of a charge (it takes a while). Unfortunately my parents aren't there to look at it for me. It's only about a year old so it should still be in good shape. I'll be back!
I think I've heard a little about this truck, I'm anxious to see it in person.
Clif, all charged up and looking good. I forgot the ACC plug in my truck isn't working so I couldn't test that part. We should be good to go for a while though. I'm 90% sure you can use 12v to charge while 120v is being used. It is an inverter after all. It just won't be charging from my truck unless I can do a quick fix in the AM. It won't fit in the normal cig. lighter outlet.
It's a little after 9 our time. My dad just got put back in the hospital last night about 4 AM. He's got two liver diseases and goes in every two months almost regularly as his liver starts hurting. If I left know I wouldn't be there before 12:30, so I'm going to have to miss this one guys. Really sorry. I'll be at the next one for sure.
Hope you all have a good time and rock central Texas. And there BETTER be pictures.
Zach - our prayers are with you and your family for continued health and longevity. Those in attendance today are saddened by your Father's illness and wish the best for him.
There will be another time. The picnic, while successful, was less than complete due to your understandable and necessary absence.
