'95 F150 Modifications.
Has anyone on here taken a 5.0L from a Foxbody Mustang, and put it in a truck like mine? How hard was it to do? Did you run into any problems, or was it pretty straight-forward? I know these trucks were available with a 5.0L, and figured it was more or less the same engine as was in the foxbodies, so I figured this would be my easiest option. I'd like to achieve around 350hp, so I would have to do some mods to the 5.0L, which I'm fine with. Any advice as to how I should go about getting my truck ready for the transplant? I'll be having a local performance shop do the swap, but I'll probably be pulling the current motor out of the truck myself so I won't have to pay the shop to do it, to keep costs down. Once again, any advice?
My second question, is if anyone knows of any aftermarket ram-air hoods for this model truck? I've only been able to find one hood for this truck, and that was a cowl hood from LMC Truck, but I don't really care for it. If at all possible, I'd love to have a hood on my truck similar to the hoods that came on the 2003 Mustang Cobras. It's the one with the rear-facing scoops. Can someone provide me with some info on hoods for this truck?
Thank you for your time, and in advance for your help.

This is a picture of it, after being washed and waxed. I also plan to paint it eventually, probably a shade of red.

The 5.0L will bolt up, but if you start adding more than the 215 HP that the 5.0L has, you're gonna need a stronger transmission when you get to the 350 HP mark, I'd look for a ZF 5 spd or a modified E4OD auto to put in it.
If I was doing this, I'd opt out for a stroked 351W with a ZF 5spd from an F250, have the engine stroked to a 393 or such, add the proper cam and some AFR (185's) heads, long tube headers, have the EFI converted over to MAF for the 351W (393?), add a nice dual exhaust set up, whatever the law states for you, make sure you get the computer properly tuned, and let the rubber fly! If you do not have a trac-loc in your 8.8 (rear differential), I'd strongly suggest you add one. You may even want to change the rear gears if they're 3.08's or 3.55's, I personally like 4.10's but for the street 3.73's also do wonders.
In my opinion, you will most likely be happier with the 351W over the 302, even if you do not stroke it out, you'll love that torque the 351 makes over the 302. I know I do.
