Just finished installing these strobes in my 06 F-250 http://www.florawrecker.com/cgi-bin/...Code=STROBEKIT
and the upfitter switch kit from power stroke shop. Both kits were excellent quality and made for a simple professional looking install. Very happy with the results. The strobes and supply head were actually made in USA wish I could say the same for the Ford upfitter switches (canada) and relay harness (mexico).
Did you install it yourself? I have been toying with the idea of installing a set but haven't really decided if I want to drill one inch holes in the light assembly's or go for exterior mounted lights or a strobe light bar.
Yes, Installed myself. Definitely cleaner than external. I also put plenty of rtv around the gaskets and wiring. That kit was very easy to install. Unfortunately I discovered what a hack job the dealer did when they installed the plow on my truck. Spent over three hours cursing and fixing their hack wiring. Scotchlock connectors should be banned from this earth.
All of the "hideaway" strobes are installed in the light assemblies. You have to drill out a 1 inch hole for the strobe bulb housing to go into. I am thinking of a surface mounted setup so I can avoid the holes. Plus there are more variety and output from those.
