does any body have a chrome or stainless 6 or 8 inch drop bumper on their trucks or cool ranch hand style rear bumpers? If so where did you get them? i would really like to get one for my 75 f250, like the ones that came on the later fords with the roll-a-long package. or any other cool bumper ideas would be great!

I've got a 8" drop chrome Luverne on my truck. I think it was ment for a 2000 something Super Duty. The price was right though, so I fabbed up some brakets to make it work on my 79. I think that it makes my truck look alot better. Check out my gallery for the pics.
This is a copy and reference to the bumpers I'm familiar with. Conveniantly, they were made at the facility I work at...
"I've got a 10" chrome drop bumper on My truck. Has a class V rating, 10,000#/1000# tongue rating. The cover that's chromed is about 11 ga., roughly 1/8" thick, but the meat of the bumper is a 4" wide X 5/8" thk drawbar. I added a bolt-on reciever that's only rated 5000#/500# below it but that's enough for what I tow. Mine was made by "DMI", Deitrich Manufacturing Inc. from Goodfield, IL. They don't make My bumper anymore but they still make bumpers. The factory bumper was only rated 5000#/500# if You had that much nerve. They're O-K on a 1/2 ton truck but for the way these PSD's can pull You need something stronger. I looked at FIA, Westin, couple other brands that excape Me right now and DMI was cheaper, heavier, better built. "
I also have a sweet dealer installed bumper from Arkansas on my truck. It has the dealers name and location stamped into it also. Nice little piece to give it that unique feel.
