Just go with Motorcraft. You'll regret it and u'll be back on here complaining because it's running like crap within 10,000 miles. I've seen my share of do it yourselfers putting aftermarket parts in and coming to the dealership for a diag. on whats causing the misfire. 99% of the time as soon as we open the hood and see the aftermarket products we know what it is.....

That's what the dealer told me when i asked if i should use Bosch Plat plugs...never knew the OEM were platinum...now i have to pull the receipt to see which plug they used...guess I should've researched it beforehand...i would've had them use the finewire platinum.
If you went to a dealer, I can almost guarantee they used motorcraft or OE for that vehicle. Thats all we use. We use OE plugs and wires in whatever we fix, unless specifically asked by the customer for a cheaper one.....

Glad you guys do that...too many out there that don't. I KNOW for a fact they used Ford Platinum plugs, just unsure if the MC finewire ones are really a better plug...and if i should kick myself in the rear for not asking for them.
I had an Accel supercoil and wires on a Cutlass way back - worked as advertised. Accel has been around a long time and I wouldn't worry about their coils causing problems. I've had to replace 4 COPs on my f150 so far and If I had found that link for the Accels, I would've bought those instead of the Motorcrafts that I did buy.
I replaced all of mine with the Accel's, and 2 months later, 7 of the 8 are dead. I'm just thankful that Jeg's is taking them back without any trouble. The plastic used isn't strong enough, and it cracked and caused a short.
