Need helps on these issue
I did my exhaust manifold gasket changed and exhaust donut-ring gasket( after CAT ) last week.. its happened after 2 days of driving.. i had no idea what is going on..
had Autozone checked for me and erased it but wont work..
Should I change the O2 sensor.? which one? the code said :-
P0135 Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1) - see our "articles" link for additional help with these generic check engine light codes
P0141 Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2) - see our "articles" link for additional help with these generic check engine light codes
No, if you unplugged them you would be getting a O2 bank 1 and 2 circuit failure code too I'm guessing. Check your fuses for the O2 sensor heater. New o2 sensors have a built in heater to heat the element on the end for faster readings after startup. If you shorted any wires, you may have tripped the fuse. I've done it myself....
Also, check your wiring harnesses. You may have left them laying on the exhaust or manifold and the wires burned through and it just happened to be the heater wires. What size engine do you have? If you have a V6, disregard my previous post because the fuse would take out any bank 2 sensors too. But if it's a 4 banger, the fuse could be u're problem...
1st of all..mine is a 4 banger..
i did unplugged all both the o2 sensor and have then plugged back..
Its just so weird it happened after 2 days on driving..
Do anyone of ya'll have the fuse diagram.?
Do ya'll think i might screwed up the o2 sensor? coz' before i really change the manifold's gasket i tried to drop the whole exhaust down and unintentionally i bent the whole exhaust ( was trying to unbolted 2 bolts but too rusty n tight ) so i temporary hooked the manifold back with only 4 bolts instead of 8 and drove it for like 50 miles (sounds so bad rattling like hell)..until now i still hear that rattling sound but it's from the throttle body..
nope..it's still giving me average 24 MPG a slight better than before..i found out that it was the throttle body's "butterfly valve shaft cause the rattling sound..coz when i kick the gas pedal more ( 1/4 of full ) the sounds came.. NO GAS NO SOUND = definately not cam or valves (intake or exhaust) prob..
