I have a early 1977 ford f250 hiboy. I was wondering if any one knew if there is any clearance problems with putting 16" rims on the truck if it came with 16.5" rims? thanks
It does depend on what kind of 16" wheel your putting on. I have searched this topic before, because I am going to do the same thing. Everything that I have found, is that a 16" wheel should fit, and If you go with an aluminum wheel, than you may have to shave off a little of the caliper with a grinder, but not much to get clearance and not enough to damage the caliper. I have not tried it yet, but that's just what I have found. If you find out anything different let me know. Thanks.
I have a 77 highboy 4x4 with dual piston calipers and 16's clear just fine. Just make sure if you have the big hubs your rims have at least the 4.75" hole and not the 4.5". I ran into that problem!!!
thanks for the input. I think that I found a used 16X10 set. I am going to check them before i buy them. I am hopping to upgrade from mud terains to some boggers
