Anytime the engine is warm and I stop for a short period. When I restart it the engine has a miss. What could be the cause? I have done a tune up recently new plugs dist cap ect. Once the miss clears up it is fine. Doesn't use oil or blow any smoke. Thanks for your input.

One thought is one of the injectors isn't closing all the way and allowing residual fuel pressure to dump fuel into that runner.
I would do a compression test on all cylinders and look at the shape of the spark plugs. look for a fouled spark plug, particularly the one the fuel is leaking into.
Why would the engine run fine until I shut it down, then restarted it warm and have a misfire. It does act like a fowled plug, but then clears up after idling it up for a while. After the engine sits and cools down say overnight. It starts up fine without a any misfiring.
What codes are you getting from your code reader? possible causes could be the MAP sensor, TPS sensor, EGR sensor...or Knock Sensor. Useing a code reader would help you to dianose the proper sensor that is causeing your problem instead of guessing what it could be and throwing parts at it....remember to reboot the computer for 30 min after each sensor replacement and drive it normally for 30min or 10 miles.....if not the old code will still be there with the same problem you had.
Leaky Injector.......if the injector can't hold the pressure in the system it will drip fuel in the intake port and flood that cylinder while it's sitting, clears up after you run it.
I checked a couple of them but it was not clear cut. I need to take off the cover for the trottle linkage so I can easily rev it while the plug wire is off. I will keep you posted.
Thanks
