i have a 64 f-100 and was wanting to know if anyone has or knows if the front beems off of a 79 f100 will interchange
I know its a strange question but im still asking
It is not a strange question, in fact, if you had a '65 or later truck, I could tell you that yes, they will interchange.
Unfortunately, if your truck is a true '64 with a single front axle, then no, nothing on the '79 will fit. '65 was the first year for the Twin I-beams.
The '64 and earlier trucks are only superficially similar to the '65/'66 trucks. Very few things interchange, even though they look alike.
Check your truck's front end, though, to make sure it isn't improperly titled as a '64. It might be a Twin I-beam truck with a '64 title.
If it has Twin I-beams, then yes, the '79 ones will fit.
If your '64 has twin I-beams like the '65 and later, then you can use the '79 parts.
If your truck has a single I-beam, then nothing will interchange.
If you would like, post the VIN, and I can tell you what month and year it was made.
