How do I find what years interchange?
I am looking for doors for my 79 F 100. I'm wondering what years would work. Actually wondering if there is a website that shows the interchangability of the years. Thanx.

I know the 73 to 79 are interchangable, but as some one stated in another thread, the seats interchange up to 96. I was hoping there would be a more definative listing of part interchangeability. I was really hoping maybe the doors would slip by and interchange a little longer, maybe to about 85 or so. There are alot of 85 and up out there, but so far NO 73 to 79.

There is a book on amazon that deals with Ford Truck interchange.
Motorhaven the store on this site had it once but it doesn't appear to be there anymore.
One clue would be to realize that parts that apply to more than 7 years at a time are Very minor & un-seen.
Things change, remember the reason plants shut down for re-tooling ?
There is a new design coming to the line.
Don't think this list will be huge.
Things like Gaskets for running gear
Nuts & Bolts
Engine parts
will be about it.
The seat don't swap right in, they do have to be altered.

for those who want to know what really is interchangeable.... Can I say this out loud?? Got to the HUGE internet auction site (<~~~~~click here) for a book called "Hollander". I think you want around the 47th to 51st edition, somewhere around that neighborhood. Dont take my word for gospel tho, I might be mistaken on the volume #.
