Talking 4x4 engine perches

Does anyone know where i could find the engine perches for a 300 six to fit a 1971 4x4? I believe the two wheel drive mounts are different. I currently have v8 perches in mine.

Is it an F-100 or F-250? If it's an F-250 I have a set in my truck. What motor perches do you have? Small block,or FE block? I might be interested in trading.

Look on your frame for bolt holes next to the holes your mounts are currently bolted thru, that's where your mounts will need to go for the 300. If it had an FE, just move them to those holes, and done. If not an FE, you'll need 4x4 mounts from a 300 or FE. 67-72 forum might give you better info.

havi,

My 70' f-250 4x4 had a 390. We moved the perches forward 3" (used 4/6 existing holes) and the 300 motor lmounts bolted right on!

it's always been my impression that the frames on the assembly line are all the same(4x4's). It's everything else bolted on afterward that dictates what's what. Cost savings. I'm not familiar with 67-72 frames, other than front clips and cabs bolt onto 73-79's. However I am familiar with 73-79 frames, and 4x4 f150's/78-79 broncos are the same, 73-early 77 4x4 f250's same, etc...so, it was an educated guess....glad it proved true, as I've learned something today.
PS:that's why I made an attempt(and succeeded) to put a 300 in my 79 bronco.
