honking cruse control
I have a 97 f150 ext cab 4.2l 2wd that honks the horn when i push the on button for the cruse control. truck has 206000 miles on it. anybody got any ideas what to do? any help can get appricated.

The only place they can get togather is the clock spring areas and the steering column.
Remove the Horn lead, operate the Cruise switch and see if this operates the horn relay.
If so, look for the cross that makes this happen and not just replace..parts..until you find the problem.
Reference the Haynes book page 12-32 for pickups and Exp.
