I was at one of the wreckers yesterday(very cold)and found a perfect circle "speedostat" it has everything there (as near as I can figure out)just missing one speedometer cable (from box to dash)looked in the snow for it but.....and I couldnt find any info on the net sofar this morning...anyone ever put one in there truck ?
What year truck are you trying to put it into? I put an OE cruise in my truck by swapping columns and adding the wiring harness sections (they plug in). Later, I changed to the OE '93-97 style by changing rear axles and building a few circuits. Both were relatively easy & I know where to find parts!
I was going to get a new(to me) tilt/cruise column from a 73-79 truck or bronco but had the only two I found sold befroe I got back to them
I now was just going to use my stock setup and bolt this one on.
It goes together fairly easy your speedometer cable into the unit theres out to your dash and a selector switch attaches to your signal lever under the hood a vachume pod mounts to your motor and has a cable that goes to your throttle linkage, there is also the two vachume lines that go from a vac.source to the modualand from there to the vac. pod.I got it for nothing(the fella didnt want to stand around and haggle -20 something that day )so I thought I would do just that
