03 Expy - "service engine soon" light

This message is on, but the Expy is running fine. Does this message include codes that require I not drive this vehicle?

I need to take the Expy on a business trip for a couple of days.

This light indicates that you main computer has detected a problem with the OBD11 emmision system . It doesnt mean not to drive it but it will need to be scaned to tell which part of the OBD11 system is causing it. No big deal at all I might add that in the case of a major malfuntion of the OBD11 system (like a broken cam sensor whicj=h is required for the engine to run) the engine will still operate on the computers default settings untill the problem is fixed, A sorta back up fail safe system which is pretty neat.

The problem could be as simple as not tightening the gas cap which would set a code for gross leak in your Evaporative system. Going to a parts store that loans out scan tools for OBDII systems and hooking it up would at least give you an idea where to start.
