I did'nt think my truck had keyless entry but when I was looking through my owners manual pack it's got a small card w/ the keyless entry code on it. Does this mean all I need is to get a remote from a dealer and have it programed, or how can I tell if it is equipped or not?

 

By the way, its a 2002 F-150.

 

Do the programming procedure step 1 to make sure the doors lock/unlock and then pick up a fob off of eBay for cheap.

The remotes for yours should have "2L3T-15K601-AA (2L3T15K601AA)
FCC ID : CWTWB1U331
CAN : 1788 104 575 (1788104575) " on the back.

Remote Transmitter Programming Procedure
NOTE: All keyless entry remote transmitters must be programmed at the same time.
1. Turn the ignition switch from OFF to RUN eight times within 10 seconds, ending in RUN. If the module has successfully entered program mode, it will lock and then unlock all doors.
2. Within 20 seconds, press any button on a keyless entry remote transmitter, and the doors will lock and then unlock to confirm that each keyless entry remote transmitter has been programmed. Repeat this step for each transmitter.
3. If the door locks do not respond for any keyless entry remote transmitter, wait several seconds and press the button again. If the door locks still fail to respond, refer to Inspection and Verification.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, or wait up to 20 seconds after Step 2, to exit program mode. If a keyless entry remote transmitter has been programmed (or reprogrammed), the doors will lock and unlock one last time to confirm.

Thanks, they locked and unlocked from step 1 now all I need is a transmitter.
