I have a newbie question. Would a 72 grille assembly work for 1970? I know the inserts are different, but other than that are they the same? Is it an easy swap out?
Thanks,
Karl

Ford actually made that change sometime in the 1980's. They replaced the original 1970 Grille Assy: D0TZ-8200-D (which came complete with inserts), with D2TZ-8200-A Grille Frame, and the two inserts D2TZ-8150/1-A (R/L) which all had to be bought separately.
They did however, still offer D0TZ-8150-B Grille Inserts. These were the same R/L.
Also available were the inserts for 1971: D1TZ-8150/1-A The grille frame for 1971 was changed to the one for 1972: D2TZ-8200-A.
