Will the grille shell and hood of a later ford truck(73-79) fit on a 67-72 model truck? Im havin the dilema of lovin the body style of the 67-72 but like the grille and hood of the of the 73-79 better. The reason why is b/c of the gap between the hood and grille of the 67-72. Thanks in advance.
The long answer is, if you have a welder, a cutting flame, lots of time, knowledge of bodywork and fabrication, anything is theoreticly possible.
It would look silly in my opinion though. No offence meant, or to be inferred.
What year model do you have?
IF you have a 1970-1972 truck, does it have the hood trim molding pieces on the front that goes the length of the hood from left to right? If not that can make it look very odd.
No offence taken, thanks for the info, I just thought I would ask. I currently have a 1979 F-150 that I drive everyday to school. Im 17years old and I love the old trucks. I have the oldest truck at school, all my freinds like newer stuff. I have redone the interior and I have sanded and painted everything in the engine bay. It has a 302 bored .30 over, comp cam, edelbrock high rise manifold, 600 edelbrock carb, high compression chrome moly rings. My next objective is to get it painted this spring. It has the racetrack style moldings.
The F-100 I was talkin about I havent gotten yet. It is currently in my friend's junkyard. I plan on makin it my summer project. Im not sure of the exact year, but its between 67-72. I havent been able to get up close to see what year it is beacuse we have had lots of rain lately and its very muddy. I do know that it is 4-wheel drive.
