45-47 Cab

I was wondering if the 45-47 truck cab is the same as the 40 ford truck cab

I've been told that from 40-47, only difference were the gas tank filler hole.

But I also wonder about the dash gauge assembly? and if it's correct to span the years?

O1C to 21C

Gas neck location changed in 1942, as was the dash gauge cluster. New frame, bed and front sheet metal in 1942.

My ref makes no mention if 1940/41 cab is different than 1942/47.

The front fender mount bracket is also different. I think that the '40/41 is repopped by someone for facilitate using the later cabs as a '40.

And...the 42-47 has an in-cab, under-the-seat gastank while the '40/41 is frame-mounted behind the rearend, so the floor under the seat is different (or missing! )

maddog200485, welcome to FTE, hopefully this thread will answer any questions you may have.
Simply put, as a whole, you can use the '40-'41 cabs on a '42-47 frame, and vice versa. There are some small detail stuff, but they interchange.
