A "RC1" Code Should work OK, it is for an 86 BII but should work OK.
Ford Part #E6TF-12A650-C2B
One other possiblity is get the emission sticker info and see if the Ford dealer can match up what computer goes with it. There should be a sticker on the radiator support as well as a number on the engine too.
I called a dealership and they couldn't do anything for me, they couldn't get me wiring diagram either.....you guys have been the best and most helpful on this forum every.....thanks

Is there something you need a diagram for on this truck?
If you have the Calibration Number then I could look up the right part number for the truck.
I don't get what your asking? Oh, a wiring diagram, I do have a haynes one but all of the wire colors are off. If you could send me one I would appreciate it for the fuel pump relay and eec-iv
Also, I have an extra and it is p2a on the end, but the 2 does not exsist, like yours, I could not find c2b

The ending of another eec I have ends with p2a, and yours ends with c2b, but mine has yellow lettering (like its been out of a junkyard)
Why would my fuel pumps come on when I turn the key after installing a new eec-iv and now nothing happens when I turn the key, so it probably isn't a loose or disconnected wire then, right? I used to start it by a tester light hooked up to the battery + and the light side into the TPS plug, and the pumps would kick on, now they dont do that anymore, what could have happened? Do you think this is an ignition problem?

There are slight differences in the programs and the ending part number and the program codes will differ.

I am guessing the new computer was working right and now it is bad for some reason.

I do not see any way the pumps would come on by putting a test light on the TPS. The TPS does not have a 12-Volt supply. The computer sends a 5 Volt reference voltage to the TPS and the TPS is a potentiometer and will send a voltage back to the computer from .8 VDC to 4.8 VDC.
This could be how the computer got fried and how you took out the 5 Volt regulator.
Yes in your case replace the computer and do not run any power to TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). Why did you do this in the first place, did somebody tell you to?
AKA Computer:
ECU - Electronic Control Unit
ECM - Electronic Control Module
EEC - Electronic Engine Control
PCM - Powertrain Control Module
No power is gettin to the tps, my brother said "lets see what this thing does" and then I stuck a tester light into the connector to see what the wires did, the outer ones are ground and the middle one does nothing. When I stuck the tester light into the the black outer one, the pumps came on, and would shut off in three or so seconds. Then I would get in my truck and start it. Now, all I hear is a clunk/click noise when I do that.
The outside wires are VREF (5 VDC REG) and SIG RTN (A ground in the ECA) and the center is the information return to the ECA, .8 VDC (closed) to 4.8 VDC (open).
so, what should be my next step of what to look for, do I check the regulator. How do I check if something is burning up/screwing up the eec? What would you do?
