Tick/Click/Rattle ONLY when steering left??

Tick/Click/Rattle ONLY when steering left??
I know that sounds nuts...but true.
My '05 SuperCrew suddenly developed a rattle/tick/click from the left of the steering column area ONLY when the wheel is turned to the left. Seems to be coming from the dash/knee area. At first I thought it was a loose panel, but I can't find a culprit. It's most noticable when running at highway speeds and doing little lane corrections. Straight or right it's as quiet as can be. Really is making me NUTS as otherwise it's a nice tight truck.
Anybody ever seen such in their 150??

You might want to check around the steering column under the dash. I remember a post regarding a clicking noise when turning the wheel and it turned out to be a white nylon collar on the steering column under the dash that would rub against something else under there when the wheel was turned. If you can get it to do it in the driveway you might be able to spot the culprit.

Yuck...mine is out of warranty and this sounds expen$ive. 
Wonder if it's just irritating, or is something really broke on trucks with this symptom? Did the dealers make it sound like
'YOUR GONA DIE FOR SURE IF WE DON'T FIX THIS!!!!!'
or
'OH, Ooooooookaaay...we'll fix it if we HAAAAAAAVVVVVVVEEEEEEEE to. Gee Wally, there goes some more of OUR money just to keep some fool who thinks that for $20k it should WORK or something...eeesh.'
No opinons here about dealer service..nope, nada.

The dealer/mechanic never said it was a do or die problem. I only had 6K miles on my truck so I figured I might as well use my warranty.
