Tick tick tick - click click click

As I drive thru a quiet garage and come to a stop, I hear a click click click sound coming from the front end (sound like mostly towards the right front wheel, buit a little from the left. It gets slower as I slow to a stop so obviously the problem is linked to the something moving at axle/wheel speed.
Any ideas?

It's a 99 Expedition XLT 4x4

Could be a rock or some other debri lodged in your tread. Happens to me all the time. Just be careful it might be a screw or bolt that punctured all the way through and removing it will cause your tire to go flat.

AFTER you've checked the tires for rocks, nails, etc. and verified there are none, pop the hub caps and pinch/crimp the retaining clip. That little clip is notorious for loosening just enough to cause some noise at low speeds.
