My FEB 03 6L is having its first problem since new. On cold start it will crank but not start at times. After cycling the ignition switch, it will start. Could this be the problem the new injector cycle flash is supposed to fix? The 06E17 flash was done last spring with no negative effects. Any help would be appreciated.

 

check your glow plug connectors on the module. make sure they are tight and secure.

 

From what BoeTie said, that flash did not cycle the injectors if you had it done in the spring. From what he said , the injector cycle was added in Oct or Nov. I'am in the same boat, I had the flash in June. If you want the injectors to cycle a shutdown you have to call your dealer an explain the problem. I don't think this would cause a no start. All 8 can't be hanging up at the same time so follow what BoeTie said.

 

thanks for the input. one thing i didnt mention , when it finally starts every thing seems normal, no smoke and smooth idle
