I'm interested in installing a water/methanol kit on my 03-6.0L for mainly towing performance, has anyone installed one? and what are the pros and cons of it and what mgf. is best thanks for your in put merry x-mas to all steve
I've been looking into the Snow Performance Stage 3 system, but haven't done it yet. Pro's will give you lower egt's and more power safely and efficently, con's prob. will void your engine's warranty, I don't think any dealer will let that one by. Although heard someone on here snuck one by the dealer for engine warranty work, guess the install was done extremely well that the tech didn't see it. I haven't done it yet cuz I'm only about 25k miles from being out of my warranty, haven't decided if the want to install new head bolts and gaskets to renforce the engine alittle better before I install the meth injection.
I've also been looking at the snow performance systems. As far as warranty goes I have a 2005 with 10,000 miles. I was thinking I would use the factory washer bottle. Buy an Accufab power elbow to mount the nozzles and put quick connectors on the pump electrical so the system could be removed easily and the stock intake elbow re-installed. Thats my winter project plan. I just havn't deceided wich system to go with, the universal diesel kit or the stage 2 ?
