dp tuner questions?

dp tuner questions?

my truck is almost stock 99, 7.3 diesel and i was wondering how safe the dp chip would be for my truck . all that i have done is omited the muffler and that is it. also wondering how people get their truck to smoke the way they do. thank you ahead of time for the reply

Depends on the tune(s) you are wanting to get. Lower HP tunes for towing and such are pretty safe. Higher HP tunes will definately require intake and exhaust mods. For any tunes, Jody recommends gauges to monitor your engine. You can pick up boost, pyro, and tranny gauges as a complete package from most of the sponsors here. If you have a 6-speed, then don't worry about a tranny gauge.

With a chip your truck can run just as long as without one. It just depends on how you treat your truck and how much you "play" with the additional power. Personally, I'll never go back to stock again
