I noticed yesterday that my van was smoking more. I usually just let a puff of white smoke out in the moring when I started it. I am pretty sure it is not oil, it doesn't have the right smell plus it is white. Today I pulled the dog house off to see if there was a leak. Well I found a leak on one of the IP lines. It is one of the bottom ones. Is there any way to tighten it with the pump still on the motor? I can barelly touch the thing let a lone get a wrech on it. Is there any special tool to do it? If I have to take it off I figure I may as well take it to a shop and have them check it out to make sure it is not close to needing rebulit. I appericate any help
A crows foot wrench on a short extension may do, but I'm not familair with a van set up. If the fitting is tight you may have corrossion or cracked line issue, make sure all the clamps that tie all the lines togeather are in place! Good luck.
Thanks for the help guys. I will have to give a crows foot a shot tomorrow if I can find one. Is there any rubber gaskets on the lines. I wouldn't think so but what do I know. If I have to remove the line should I put some thread sealant on them when I put them back on? Any sealer the stands up to gas work? Does anyone happen to know what size wrench I will need for the lines? I know that is a lazy question. I can all ways find out in the morning too.
