2003 F350 Parking Sensor

Does anyone know if there is a way to permanently disable the parking sensor in a 2003 F350? It has to be the most annoying thing I have ever experienced.

Can't you just unplug it? Or cut the wire for permanent fix?

BTW: Did you ever wonder why they call them "parking sensors"?

I always thought they should be called "just before you hit something" sensors...

That would be my last option. I was just wondering if there was a sequence that would disable it similar to the seat belt warning bell.

Generally I don't promote duplicate posts but, you may want to try in the SuperDuty forum as well.Keep in mind that site traffic is a little slower on the weekends.

On alot of the vehicles that we PDI, we will hook the PAM into on of the upfitter switches, incase the customer pulls a trailer or has a salter, etc. I know 2003 has no upfitter switch, but you can find a way to remove power to the module some how.
