It's on the driver's side of the engine, mounted on the front timing cover.
If it's a '97-'98 4.6L,it'll be behind the coil pack bracket,if it's a later 4.6L or 5.4L with COPs,it'll be right on the front of the engine in the same spot-it's got an 8mm or 10mm head bolt that holds it to the cover.Super simple to change.

Welcome to the forum Ricky

What size engine in your truck?
JL has the answer if it's a V-8. If it's a V-6 then it's different.

I've seen a lot more cam position sensor problems on the V6 which is why I asked.
Actually I don't recall ever seeing a problem with one on a V8.
Mind you it's early in the morning here and my brain may not be working quite right yet

I seem to recall that on the V-6 they are a bit of a pain to access but not too bad. If I remember right you have to remove the heater hose tube from the top of the water pump.
After that there's just one electrical connector and 2 screws that hold it on.
