I was just so excited I had to let it out somewhere. I finally sucked it up and decided to get some stacks. I bought a new 5in grand rock kit off ebay. From what i saw it was good price.
One question I have though is what can I use to help the pipe in the bed to blend in alittle more. I thought about taking it up to the local Line X shop to get the bottom half sprayed to match my bed. That Could be alittle spendy though. Any other ideas would be helpfull.
Congrats on the new pipers(thats what my kids call them). I got the Grand Rock kit as well. TNT is right, high temp paint or I've even seen them with exhaust wrap.
I went all out and did my whole system. Heatwrapped the downpipe to the first connection, then i used black engine block paint, hi-temp stuff with ceramic in it. I also did the bedliner at the same time so it would match the stacks. Looks good IMO.
My bedliner is the herculiner stuff. It holds up for what i put in my bed... I wouldn't use it as you can get over 400* on the pipe that far back actual metal temp.
