Question About Custom Tuning
I was wondering when I go to custom tuning, are these custom tunes able to have the safety features that canned tunes have? In particular, I'm wanting the tranny defuel and egt defuel options. I know that my digital monitor is compatible with something like the sct xcal 2, but I just didn't know if the custom tunes would have this type of safety feature or not. Thanks for the help.

Custom tunes tweak the factory settings to optimize air/fuel ratios. They don't typically add features, so if your ecm doesn't defuel don't expect a tune to either. Custom tunes should not see the same kinds of issues that require as much caution as canned. Still, get lots of gauges and monitor your motor's condition. As smart as computers as getting you the best safety feature.

I was still going to keep my digital gauge, I was just wondering if I would have had those safety features that came with the tuner that I have now. Thanks for the help on that.
