Well if I can take my local dealership on their word, they had said the egr is fine. If it is normal then I need to find out what it is and have it "fixed" with a more efficient aftermarket part, if there is one available, because when I'm hauling a load and people are shooting around me everywhich way but loose and it's taking me forever to get back up to speed, that's not good in more ways then one for me and my horses(or even my tractors). This was one reason why I had started this thread was to find ways of boosting towing performance and safely(I know that can be mutually exclusive when you are talking about this type of modding, but I'm hoping to do it as safely as I can, which with y'alls help I'm hoping to accomplish that). MPG, on the other hand, is nice to boost that as well, but that is not my prime directive here. As far as driving the truck long enough to have enough use out of the modds to pay for themselves in that respect, mileage wise I'm sure, year wise it all depends on how much I drive it each year. I don't plan to trade this truck in anytime soon, unless something comes along that just blows me away(which has been known to happen, but not alot).
the lag should not be that bad because if the turbo is operating properly, then the vanes close and you should build boost fairly quickly. you may be having a turbo stick on you because they love to do this when they are hot. good luck tex. i hope you can find someone who can fix it for you.
I hope so too, thanks to all for your input. I will let you know how things after the holidays, everything will have to be put on hold til after more then likely the new year. Once again thanks for the input, I do appreciate it.
