While changing my oil I noticed a little leak at the bottom of the radiator. It's nothing major, seem to be coming from the driver's side near the bottom.
Where have you guys who have replaced them before gotten them?
It's a '94 XLT, 4.0L, manual tranny. I'm not looking for some uber-expensive racing replacement, just something that will do the job as well as the old one, and maybe a little better.
www.radiator.com sells OEM spec'd replacement radiators just as the autostore would sell. Except (depending on application) They're a ton cheaper. They also carry a lifetime warranty
which after checking is about the same cost as what autozone would charge for a ranger radiator.. Which is pretty odd being that autozone wanted $230 for my Roadmaster radiator and I got it from radiator.com for $150

Shop for a genuine OEM Modine online and locally. You can easily install it in "our" garage or front driveway in under an hour and all by yourself. Forget about putting a new core or reseating a tank on these plastic tanked radiators; that's a real bad option. Think $ and relilability. Also forget about orientally made cheapos sometimes pushed by popular nationwide parts suppliers. You get what you pay for.
Modine all the way, thats i'll i've bought in the past on my other vehicles i've owned. They have a lifetime warranty, so buy it from a local shop and if it ever leaks, take it back and they will either fix it for free or replace it for free. Also, it's good practice to replace the radiator hoses and thermostat while you have it apart.
Thermostat is only a few months old, but I was planning on doing every hose I could get to while I had it out anyways. I'll probably get to it this weekend.
