If you want just looks and do a lot of street driving and not much off road then the Claw tires will do just fine.

BFG A/T's will do ya just fine, and they're far more attractive than claws.

I'll second the BFG's especially if you get snow where you live. I run them and couldn't be happier.

Sorry John, I have to disagree. I ran a set of MT Radial Claws on my SD and hated them. They chopped real bad and were shot after 20,000 miles. They were also load on road and I was not impressed with them off road. They looked cool, but that was about it. Personally I would take a BFG, Toyo, or Nitto tire over a Claw tire.

Neither am I, I had a guy almost get stuck in my driveway where my Wild Country XTX pulled my truck with no problems. They look like a normal dull AT tire.

The guy wants looks, Claws look good.

Agreed 100%

If I was not buying for looks, I think the BFG K/O on ice, snow, and just about anything else is the cat's meow. If buying for looks and a radial, I would get a Claw.

When people see them they go -> wow <- They do look good sitting still. They look more aggressive then anything BFG offers for a normal (MT/AT) tire.

Now that Hankook tire looks pretty sweet, I wonder how that does on and off road?Almost looks like the old Big O tire.

I see where you are coming from John. I guess if I was going for looks I would get the Toyo Open Country MT tires. I really like the looks of those tires and to top it off they seem to perform well on and off road and seem to wear pretty well too.

The Claws drove me nuts because they did not do anything well. I complained to Mickey Thompson about them and then won a set of Dick Cepek FC II tires. They perform better than the Claws on road, but suck off road. Not a bad all terrain tire that sees only on road use, but I would probably not get another set. Got to love freebies though!!!
