Question TPS Sensor!

Will a bad TPS sensor cause a drop in the idle!or a miss in the idle? My friend say too change the TPS sensor!!

No not likely. If the TPS says the throttle is more open than it is it could dump too much fuel in it and you would have a miss at idle with black smoke out the tail pipe.

The TPS tells (in conjunction with other sensors) the EEC Computer how much fuel to put in the engine, how much to advance the spark and when to shift the transmission.
