gauges for F150???
I have a 1996, F150, 5.8l V8, 4WD. I have installed a few upgrades, K&N aircharger system, B&M shift+ improver, 2'' front level kit and I also plan on upgrading to a gibson exhaust system with the gibson headers too. I love to know what my truck is doing whie driving so I am thinking of getting some gauges. I definitely want to know transmission temp as a tow a boat but what other types of things could or should be watching with gauges. I was told that gas powered trucks dont need gauges only big diesels but this was from a guy who drives a Dodge 3500 dually which has a cummins and all sorts of other gadgets. Am I wasting my time thinking about gauges?????

Real guages are never a waste of time. I have an aftermarket oil pressure, water temp, and tranny temp gauge on mine. Factory guages are sometimes just modified warning lights that just show normal when things are in a pre set range.

So I was thinking of a tranny temp gauge, possibly a air/fuel ratio gauge because of my air charger, and I'm not sure what else would be a good call. I saw a boost gauge but not exactly sure what that is for and would it be applicable to my vehicle. I am hoping to go for the triple A pillar mount for 3 gauges if I do any at all.
How difficult are these gauges to install?
