Nerf bars/step

My apologies if this has been asked before . . .

are there any nerf bars/steps which attach directly to the truck's frame, aside from custom/welded on bars?

I haven't seen any but then again I haven't really been looking. Are you looking for something like a slider?

My 5'3" wife told me that steps are a must on the new truck.
But, I'm leary of how most nerf bars mount . . . I'd rather have something mount to the frame, instead of the body.

I considered a slider, but I haven't found one that could be easily used as a step . . .

Slider as in powerstep?

These are expensive but give a very clean look. There are also directions on the website for installation to give you an exact idea of how they'll hold up.

I took mine off of my factory black step bars from my 05 Scab and they are just sitting around doing nothing. I like the look better, but everyonce in a while when I visit my mom she complains so I just give her a shove up.

www.ranchhand.com They have steps that bolt directly to the frame. I had a set on my Super Duty and the were rock solid.

On most truck supply sites you can purchase Carr steps in two sizes and in either silver or black. They mount to the frame and are rock solid. I like the way they look and the fact that they are a step, not running boards. Takes about an hour to install both sides. Search under Carr steps and you can have them sent directly to your home. Good luck!

I just bought a pair of ebay that look like copies of the crome factory bars. I will get back to you when they come in and let you know what I think. Ed

Which models do they sell that mount to the frame? The only ones I have seen mount to the rockers.
