I like venison. I don't eat it often. I don't hunt, either. Like Ron White says, "Not because I think It's somehow holier to eat meat bludgeoned to death by someone else; it's really early, it's really cold...I don't wanna go!"

Good luck with this one.

I have a very weak stomach. Shooting a deer doesnt bother me. Gutting it and field dressing it would make me pass out (or blow chunks) instantly. I will call one of my friends to see if they want to claim it before I go hunting.

Too gamey for me, even when you make sausage out of it. Use it strictly for jerky.

Like I stated before.....I can take it or leave it. I leave it mostly.
I don't hunt and have been dang lucky to not hit a deer in my truck around here. For those that do hunt, I wish they would relax the hunting restrictions somewhat in order to allow more deer to be taken per season.

They are sure plentiful around here where I live and it's well populated by humans.

ddrumman2004You can kill 6 per yr in Miss. In Tenn you can kill 3 bucks & get up to 12 doe permits. Some counties in Tenn allow 3 does a day due to the overpopulation.I know what you mean about the deer on the highway. In Collierville Tenn I saw 7 today & had to stop & let some cross the road to keep from hitting them. I saw 12 yesterday in a 85 mile drive around Fayette county. They are everywhere around here & they are in the rut which has them moving a lot more than normal. I saw 3 bucks chasing does monday & 2 today. I drive a service truck in a 3 state area around Memphis & I see lots of deer. I wish I saw as many when I'm on my deerstand. LOL

Most states don't allow the sale of game. If you live near Memphis I'd be glad to give you some.

They farm it in southern California believe it or not - you can buy it at a little butcher shop on the south end of Ramona along the 67.

Also Buffalo, Ostrich, and I'm not real sure what else.
