I have the non-wastegated ATS and see 14 psi and no smoke. 850 egt. Want to turn it up more but the fear of more boost and weak head bolts don't sit well with me.

If you're running 14psi boost, no smoke, and only 850 EGT, then sounds like its time to turn up the pump a flat to me....
Pulled a truck and trailer to the scrap yard the other day. Tipped the scale at 16,820 lb. I didn't work it too hard and it moved out pretty nice. I only get 13 mpg empty and 11.5 pulling like that. I don't have any experience with a non-turbo to compare with though. Too much boost and the head bolts won't do their job and I am too poor to afford ARP's for now. But I have lot's of time being that frost and concrete don't mix well.
I could never get a straight answer out of ATS where it is. I have a monolithic looking exhaust side of the turbo so I can't trace what goes where. I only get a little smoke when I floor it off idle. At night other headlights are hazy, not dimmed at all. It has all the power I need, so I won't turn it up any more.
