What is the main difference between a highboy and a regular 4x4? The reason is that I am importing a highboy into Canada but I need to prove at the border that it is factory spec and not jacked up...is there some information I can show Transport Canada to prove the truck is original?
Fast-Ford,
Take a look at the top of the main page for the 73-79 Forum for the "Read First" section. If you click in there, you'll find a post by Torque1st, eight posts down, that pretty much describes a "Highboy". I think that should be all the info you need for the border folks. Basically, a Highboy is considered a pre mid 77 Ford F250 4x4, which sat relatively high. There are other definitions for other makes of vehicles, but for what you're looking for, I think you'll find it there in that thread.
If you need any additional help after reading that, please feel free to ask. That's what it's all about here, to help eachother out.
Good Luck, Tim
