I remember hearing that you can disable the GM DRL's by clicking the Parking brake one tooth- does nothing with the brake or light, but disabled the DRL's. Can't remember where I heard that...
I vote no on DRL's. I hate the look, but that's just me. It also annoys me when people drive around with their hi-beams on around town during the day. Dude, I see you- turn 'em down!
