Thats funny you mentioned that. Here cable internet is a hell of alot less reliable then dsl. For the most part cable is faster downloading, slower uploading and not as reliable as dsl. All in all I like cable better, but the reason I got dsl over cable, is cause of the whole complete package we get.

I am not sure that you asked the right question. I would check your neighbors & see what they have. You will want to know how much they are online & when. Talk to whoever is on most (probably the kids). I noticed a big drop right after school was out on cable (it is shared bandwidth) which does not impact on my DSL. Which ever works best in your area is a big jump in performance; just like getting a V-10.

Comcast Cable for 3 years (called tech support on a weelky basis the last 6 months).
Verizon DSL 1½ years - currently connected (called tech support 3 times).

I have dsl and love it. I would check with the neighbors to see if they have any problems with either one and make my decision from there. Here you have to have cable tv to be able to get roadrunner, at my office I don't need cable tv. There is no competition with the cable co. and they are considerably more expensive than dsl. (the people who have their service seems to like it) At home I can't get cable or dsl, my internet is an air card from the cell carrier and my tv is satellite.
