does anyone know where i can see a code list or does anyone know what these codes mean and how to fix the problem. my truck has been running fine until about 2 weeks ago. i would take off from a stop sign shift to 2nd and then it wouldnt shift to 3rd. i had to pull over, it just kept reving high, started again and the same thing,so i pull over again and turn the truck off, re-start and go again and it shifted fine. or sometimes if i stop and then punch it, it would shift hard . i pulled the codes last night with my tuner and here they are.
po733 gear 3 incurrect ratio. whats that mean ?
po603 powertrain control module keep alive memory cam error
it geuss i didnt keep it alive whatever it is.
i love this site and all the help you guys give. thanks steve
603 is common and usually ignored when you have a tuner or chip, It can be a real issue but most often it is just the tuner.
733 - caused when the engine RPM drop is not detected when the PCM commands the shift.
Damaged Connector/Wiring Short, Damaged Shift Solenoid Assembly, Damaged PCM (Now the 603 is looking more like a real code instaed of just a tuner thing). To start check all of the wiring.

I tried to post a couple different lists I have saved on my hard drive, but unfortunately I somehow tripped the "this-post-is-being-sent-to-a-Moderator-to-be-okayed-first-before-being-allowed-to-be-posted" alert.
In the past, whenever that's happened to my posts, what I've written never see's the light of day. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong, but whatever it is, the posts never show up.
That being said, I have several code sheets saved to MS Word doc's and Adobe .pdf files I'd be happy to send to you, if you want them.
Here ya go. For anyone interested, this can be found at the top of this forum's page under Articles/specs in the codes decoder section. Just go to diesel codes.
so check enery single wire from the motor back to the tranny? where is the Shift Solenoid Assembly and if it keeps doing this will it mess up the tranny and can it be changed ? also what and where is the pcm ?
