tonight when i was driving it started shiftign wierd so i turned it off and turned it back on and it hasnt done it since overdrive light was flashing but it hasnt done it since . no trouble codes showed up but i have seen 603keep memory alive before ... what does that mean
Most common code with any chip/programmer, it does not mean a thing. All of us ignore it.... As far as shifting weird, a little more info on that and I'm sure we can help...
ok guys more info on the shift thing
its hard to explain but it was when i floored it and it coulndt find a gear kinda and the overdrive light flashed and i know that means trouble but when i pulled over and shut if off it never did it again???
Could be the VSS sensor on the rear diff, mine did that to me once.. A good way to tell is if the speedo acts funny at the same time. You can pull it out(one 10mm bolt on the top of the diff, ) clean it off and re install and see if that helps. Also, I see you have the Predator, see if you can get any codes from it. Or... plug in the predator and go to the diagnostics and drive around and watch the tranny settings, it will tell you tranny temp, among many other things that might be helpful. Of course, check the fluid first, that may solve the problem as well.. As far as not finding a gear, could be torque converter slipping but usually will give a code. Let us know, were here to help
thanks guys i really appreciate it im going to change the fluid and filter tommorrow to see what it looks like. im a nutty driver and im on 38s my old excursions tranny didnt last 12000 miles but this one had and its the best shifting tranny in any of my friends powerstrokes..also is there any way to put a 6.0s 5r100 behind a 7.3 like an adapter???
