Warm up time?
How long does it yake for your guys rigs to warm up? I have to wait a good 5-10 min during the wintertime before she is ready to go...even on a slightly warmer day I have to wait till the cold idle advance kicks off. Is it normal to take that long to warm up? I also noticed that it takes forever for the heater/defrost to warm up in my IDI. Is there anything I can do to correct that? Just seems very odd considering in my fathers' 96' F250 7.3PSD it takes about 3 min before you are rolling down the windows because it is so hot. Could there be a bad hose somewhere? The previous owner didn't tamper with anything on the truck other than regular maintenance for the most part so I'm not sure...Any ideas?

I don't wait that long, not that's not a good practise, I just don't get up early enough for work to do that...I found when I first used Duralube in my 86, the fast idle time was reduced by 25 to 30 % not only in my IDI but every vehicle we have had?!!

dave mines the same way ijust plug it in and let it warm up then start it saves a couple of min on warm up time and the heat is almost warm enough at this time we here in the valley of the sun are having a little cold spell ourselfs last nite got down to 15 way to early for these temps but we all know the weather just does as she wants
