Windshield wipers

Was gonna search the forum but I don't have that ability so we'll go the long way. Apparently stock windshield wipers struggle to last more than a year so is there something better ? Silicone ? Heated ? Etc.

Bosch 24" blades are a great upgrade to increase visibility and durability. I swap out new blades every year.

I'll second that! Just bought a new pair last week.

Whatever brand you get, I'd recommend that everyone try the 24" blades... they cover the whole windshield, and there aren't any clearance issues or any problems like that.

I'm due for a new pair before winter hits, so I will give those a try.

Checked with the partsman, he sez Bosch Icon only lists the 24" for the drivers side. Both the same ?

Bosch only lists a 24" for the drivers side, no part number for passenger side. Ask partsman about mounting driverside on both sides and he said because of the airfoil, it won't work right.

Go to Autozone or any store that carries the BOSCH line, grab 2-24" blades, pay for them and install in the parking lot. Done deal.

Hey Brian... doing swell. You'll like the 24" blades almost as much as the C-Betrs. They'll clear the whoooole windshield instead of leaving big old rainy spots everywhere, and that big ole' great white shark fin will turn into a, uhh... smaller shark's fin.

It's the little things...

Don't know what part of Cali you're in Buddy, but do you know how they are in snow and cold? We just got hammered!

They seem to do real well in both. I've only been in the snow a few times with them (just when I've been in Tahoe/Reno) and they did well, and do well in the rain, also. Not sure how they'd hold up to constant snow like you get there in the winter, but they should do all right. I think Bosch is a pretty good brand as far as wipers go.

Most important part is the 24".
